Respite Event Nov. 22 Offers Fun for Kids, Break for Parents

Parents, are you looking for a break so that you can catch up on your own life events and needs?

Would you like your child to be involved in a structured activity in which he/she can learn positive social engagement and have fun with other kids in an enjoyable, experiential way at no cost to you?

Then you’ll want to sign your child up for the Respite Event to be held Friday, November 22 from 9:00 am–1:00 pm at Alta Camp Challenge. Your child will participate in Ropes Course/Adventure Course activities at Camp Challenge, and also enjoy a free lunch. Any child with a Mental Health diagnosis may sign up to participate in this event.

Camp Challenge is located on Youngstown’s west side at 939 Wilkinson Avenue near McCollum Rd. and Mill Creek Park.

This Respite Services event is being funded through the Strong Families/Safe Communities grant. In the next two years Alta will be providing 20 additional respite events for families.

You can sign your child up for the November 22 event by contacting your Alta staff person, or by calling Vince Paolucci at (330) 793-2487
