Part Time Secretary

Alta Care Group, Inc., is searching for a Part Time Front Office Administrative Assistant. The desired candidate will oversee all activities relating to the front desk and reception area.
This position will be working Monday 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., Tuesday 12:00 p.m. – 8:00p.m., Wednesday 12:00p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and Thursday 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Maximum of 29 hours per week. Some additional hours may be required upon request, and the candidate must be willing to work at any one of our 5 locations. Boardman, Youngstown, Howland, Austintown, Mineral Ridge.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Clerical and secretarial support services to line and supervisory staff; client, office and phone receptionist duties; other general office duties including typing, filing, appointment scheduling, file maintenance, and use of electronic health record.
1. General Secretarial Duties
A. Typing materials and preparation of mailing correspondence.
B. Perform filing duties and file maintenance. Scan and access electronic charts.
C. Knowledge of phone system and ability to answer phone, transfer calls to other staff and take messages.
D. Responsible for initial (courteous) contact with potential clients, recording needed information correctly.
E. Attend staff meetings and other intra-agency meetings as required.
F. Responsible for scheduling clinical and medical appointments, processing medical documentation and completing prescriptions per medical request and by telephone.
2. Other Duties
A. When necessary, periodically interact with children in waiting areas so as to comfort or answer inquires during parent session and/or while waiting for transportation from Alta facilities.
B. Business opening and closing responsibilities for Alta’s central and satellite facilities according to current procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Experience in general secretarial duties, to include typing, filing, and operation of basic office equipment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Experience with computer based word processing programs.

Independently Licensed Clinician

Alta Care Group is searching for a Child Family Therapist. Due to our continued expansion we are seeking a Full or Part-Time Independently licensed Counselor to join our team and deliver mental health and counseling services to children, adolescents, and families. Home & Community Based Therapist (Functional Family Therapist)

We are seeking a clinician to provide Functional Family Therapy to children, adolescents, and their families. The successful candidate will, as part of a team, provide counseling services to a small caseload of families in their natural living environments, school, or other necessary locations in the community. The goal is to reduce risk of placement in restrictive care settings and to prepare families for youth stepping down from restrictive care settings. The candidate will work closely with other community stakeholders, including Child Protective Services and Juvenile Court. On call crisis availability is a requirement. Starting salary is very competitive ($40,000 – $60,000 based on credentials and experience).

Minimum qualifications must include licensure with the state of Ohio as Professional Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist or Social Worker. Preference with be given to candidates with a Master’s Degree in a behavioral health discipline with Ohio licensure.

Flexibility in adjusting work schedule, days and hours as necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.  Some evening work will be required.

School Based Counselor

School Based Child/ Family Therapist: Our school based mental health services are expanding and we are seeking Full Time (LPC, LSW, LPCC or LISW), Counselor to join our team and deliver mental health and counseling services to children, adolescents, and families. Successful candidate will provide counseling services predominately within a high school, and the office/community as necessary or clinically indicated. Minimum qualifications must include a Master’s Degree in a behavioral health discipline and licensure with the state of Ohio.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Delivery of clinical services to clients of the Center according to Alta Behavioral Health Care practices and guidelines.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Clinical Interventions
  • Provide individual counseling services for youth when clinically Interventions indicated.
  • Perform family counseling services when clinically indicated.
  • Conduct group counseling services when clinically indicated.
  • Perform parent counseling and/or education when clinically indicated.
  • Provide all therapeutic interventions in the setting that is most clinically indicated, to include school, office, home, or other community setting.
  • To provide as needed, Diagnostic Assessments of youth prior to the development of appropriate treatment/service plans, and as appropriate thereafter.
  • To conduct as needed and as directed by the client’s service plan, activities of an experiential/therapeutic nature, which focus on improving interpersonal functioning and self-esteem with, targeted youth.
  • To provide individual and/or family crisis interventions, which periodically may involve intensive, non-time limited intervention, when indicated.
  • To provide crisis intervention services, to include verbal mediation interventions, to protect the client and/or other’s wellbeing.
  • Initiate and provide Community Support (case management) services including assessment, linkage, advocacy, and referral as client needs become apparent and as developed in the ISP.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Masters Degree in counseling, social work or other related field and licensure with the State of Ohio Counselor and Social Worker Board as a L.P.C., L.P.C.C., L.S.W. or L.I.S.W., and registered (or eligible to register) as a Counselor or Social Work Trainee.

Van Driver and Behavioral Assistant

Alta Care Group is seeking a part-time Van Driver and Behavioral Assistant. This person will be responsible for the safe transportation of Alta service recipients to and/or from Alta Programs and Services in Alta owned vehicles. The Van Driver and Behavioral Assistant is under the direct supervision of our Mental Health Day Treatment Coordinator. This individual ensures the safe and timely transport of consumers while providing a comfortable services from origin of the trip until reaching their final destination. Additionally, the Van Driver and Behavioral Assistant may provide support to mental health day treatment programming during scheduled work hours when not transporting clients.

Candidate must be at least 23 years old and can drive a 15-passenger van. This individual must have the ability and willingness to work primarily afternoon and evening hours on weekdays, and occasional daytime hours on Saturdays. Work schedule fluctuates depending on the needs of clients and the schedule of services provided.

Respite Worker

Alta Care Group is seeking a candidate for a part time (up to 10/week) Respite worker. This person must: have a desire to help children and adolescence thrive in their home and communities, have the ability to support and manage individuals with mental health and developmental disabilities, have characteristics that help with engagement with individuals and families in a positive manner, have the willingness to assist with daily living skills, have the ability to engage client in redirection and behavioral management strategies when needed, have the ability to implement recommended non-behavioral therapeutic interventions under the direction of a professional, have the willingness to engage in community access activities that help connect clients to their neighborhoods, and have the willingness/ability to drive a 15-passenger van at times for group respite outings.

Peer Support Worker

Alta Behavioral Healthcare is seeking a candidate for a part-time position and must require a High School Diploma (or equivalent).

Must have a lived experience in mental health recovery.

Candidate must possess:

  • Provide education and on-going exploration of needs to peers related to their recovery through all phases-engagement, initiation, stabilization and maintenance.

  • Help peers identify strengths, weaknesses and barriers that may exist in their journey towards recovery.

Case Manager

Alta Care Group is seeking a case manager to work with children who exhibit behavioral health symptoms in the home, school, and community. Mobile Response Stabilization Service (MRSS) Worker

We are seeking a Full Time Therapist to join our team and deliver Mobile Response and Stabilization services to adolescents, children and young adults and their families. The MRSS Therapist will be accountable for providing day-to-day mobile crisis intervention, follow up and support within our offices, the community, and schools.

MRSS is a structured community based, in-person, intervention and support service for youth and families, provided by a mobile response and stabilization service team. It is a prevention-focused emergency program that serves as a gateway to other services across the system of care.  MRSS is designed to promptly address situations in which young people are experiencing emotional symptoms, behaviors, or traumatic circumstances that compromise or impact their ability to function within their family, living situation, school, or community. The youth and family guide MRSS interventions, with the strengths and needs of the young person and family determining the types and mix of services and supports provided.

The MRSS Therapist is responsible for providing emergency mobile response and stabilization to families with youth and young adults up to age 21 who are experiencing difficulties or distress.  The MRSS Therapist will provide intervention within the MRSS guidelines, based on acuity. This service also provides in-home stabilization services and linkage to on-going supports. The youth and family guide MRSS interventions, with the strengths and needs of the young person and family determining the types and mix of services and supports provided. The MRSS therapist will work as part of a team and develops an MRSS plan to be implemented by the team which includes a Peer Support Staff person or Qualified Mental Health Specialist.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor’s degree.
  2. Two (2) years’ experience in children and family services.
  3. Licensure from the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Specific experience in clinical activities with a focus on child and family therapy, diagnosis of psychopathology, treatment of severe behavior disorders, treatment of abuse and neglect related disorders, treatment of children at risk for hospitalization and out of home placement most preferred.
  2. Crisis intervention and response experience.
  3. Case Management experience.
