Alta Care Group is searching for a Child Family Therapist. Home & Community Based Therapist

Alta Care Group is seeking a clinician to provide treatment to children, adolescents, and their families. Van Driver and Behavioral Assistant

Alta Care Group is seeking a part-time Van Driver and Behavioral Assistant. This person will be responsible for the safe transportation of Alta service recipients to and/or from Alta Programs and Services in Alta owned vehicles. The Van Driver and Behavioral Assistant is under the direct supervision of our Mental Health Day Treatment Coordinator. This individual ensures the safe and timely transport of consumers while providing a comfortable services from origin of the trip until reaching their final destination. Additionally, the Van Driver and Behavioral Assistant may provide support to mental health day treatment programming during scheduled work hours when not transporting clients.

Candidate must be at least 23 years old and can drive a 15-passenger van. This individual must have the ability and willingness to work primarily afternoon and evening hours on weekdays, and occasional daytime hours on Saturdays. Work schedule fluctuates depending on the needs of clients and the schedule of services provided.

Respite Worker

Alta Care Group is seeking a candidate for a part time (up to 10/week) Respite worker. This person must: have a desire to help children and adolescence thrive in their home and communities, have the ability to support and manage individuals with mental health and developmental disabilities, have characteristics that help with engagement with individuals and families in a positive manner, have the willingness to assist with daily living skills, have the ability to engage client in redirection and behavioral management strategies when needed, have the ability to implement recommended non-behavioral therapeutic interventions under the direction of a professional, have the willingness to engage in community access activities that help connect clients to their neighborhoods, and have the willingness/ability to drive a 15-passenger van at times for group respite outings.

Peer Support Worker

Alta Behavioral Healthcare is seeking a candidate for a part-time position and must require a High School Diploma (or equivalent).

Must have a lived experience in mental health recovery.

Candidate must possess:

  • Provide education and on-going exploration of needs to peers related to their recovery through all phases-engagement, initiation, stabilization and maintenance.
  • Act as a liaison between peers and the professionals involved in their lives.
  • Help peers identify strengths, weaknesses and barriers that may exist in their journey towards recovery.
  • Model personal responsibility for recovery.
  • Assist peers in recovery with community connections and linkages when needed for the betterment of the individual’s goals set for recovery. This includes helping peers identify and connect with natural supports.
  • Learn and assist peers in recovery in utilizing positive problem solving skills.
  • Engage in outreach.
  • Promote self-determination, self-advocacy, well-being and independence with peers in recovery.

Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant (ECMHC)

Full time professional opportunity available for the position of Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant (ECMHC).

The ECMHC provides consultative services to early care staff, children and families in a community early care setting.

Qualified candidates should be familiar with the social, emotional, behavioral, developmental and academic milestones of children birth through kindergarten, relationship-based prevention and intervention strategies, and early care settings.

Duties will include classroom observations, development and implementation of classroom management and child-specific action plans, as well as the documentation of data pieces needed for program reports/evaluation.

The minimum qualification for this position is a Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education, Family and Consumer Studies, Social Work or other related mental health field.

Preferred Qualifications include a background in child development/early childhood, experience in assessment/interventions with young (under age six) children, and experience in consultation and/or working with social service or health service providers to youth. Candidates must have a mental health license or be willing to obtain one. Preferred candidates will have a focus on building relationships with children, early care providers, and parents/caregivers, be strengths-based, and collaborative.

Fiscal Manager

The position is responsible for assuring compliance with fiscal policies and fiscal matters which may included establishing and overseeing billing, managed care relationships, contract management and reporting, coding review, payroll backup, accounts payable backup, month end close, development and maintenance of information system and support to the Chief Financial Officer and the Chief Executive Officer in fulfilling his/her responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must have an Associate’s Degree in Business and Accounting plus 5 years’ experience. Must have experience in accrual bookkeeping and accounting, budget and cost setting, work with computer assisted in M.I.S. systems, work in private and governmental payor billing and collection.

Preferred Qualifications:

B.A. Degree in Business and Accounting plus 3 years’ experience. High experience with Excel spreadsheet capabilities, experience with 990 Tax Accounting, and experience in non-profit medical or social service environment preferred.

Billing Coordinator

Alta Care Group, Inc. is seeking a Full Time Billing Coordinator to join our team to perform billing and charge entry functions for the center in accordance with Alta’s policies and procedures.

Job Duties:

  • Prepare, post, verify and record client payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
  • Review bank statements, commercial websites, daily to identify what needs posted against the client record.
  • Check cash receipts and reconciliation daily.
  • Type, reconcile and verify monthly client billings and insurance forms.
  • Ensure that all insurance information is accurate, and clients include all information required for Medicaid and Insurance reimbursement.
  • Prepare charges and creates invoices for client and Insurance companies according to company practices, submits invoices to clients, and insurance.
  • Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files and general ledger, and contacts delinquent accountholders to request payment. Creates reports regarding the status of customer accounts as requested.
  • Prepare and verify Medicaid billing roster, assist in reconciliations to Medicaid. Post Medicaid 835’s. Verifies Medicaid coding. Attend meetings or workshops to updated Medicaid billing procedures.
  • Inputs correct billing information and transmits electronically to the Medicaid carrier.
  • Prepares weekly and monthly reports of Medicaid billing for the CFO.
  • Monitors client insurance and keeps updated.
  • Responsible for operating computer software to produce electronic billing which includes processing of data information and generating reports. Works directly with software provider, consultations, and in-house IT technical staff to correct problems to improve and sustain electronic billing system.
  • Responsible for posting various types of accounting transactions to ledgers, journals, or bash books. Keeps budget accounts and auxiliary records, prepares audits and special account reports.
  • Assist the CFO in preparation of budget and summary and special reports concerning fiscal, budgetary matters.
  • Assist with Credentialing by getting NPI and Medicaid numbers, links to HMOs, and updating MITS. Credential staff with Commercial Insurance companies and HMOs. Credential the organization with Insurance companies and panels.
  • Verifies computer system accuracy in M.I.S. Billing. Responsible for creating valid procedures and service codes, trouble shoots problems. Works directly with the software providers in carrying out these duties.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Prior experience with insurance billing procedures.
  • S. Diploma and minimum four years’ experience in job related duties.
  • Trade School Certificate or Associates degree plus minimum of three years’ experience.
  • Experience with CPT codes and ICD-10 diagnosis codes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior work in mental health/medical health related field.
  • Prior experience with HCFA 1500 billing and knowledgeable of governmental, managed care and commercial payer regulations.

FIRST Case Manager Specialist

Due to our continued expansion, Alta Care Group is seeking a Full Time Case Manager with Specialization in Adult Mental Health (see Minimum Qualifications) to join our team.

Case Manager Specialist duties:

  • Provide services that are focused on the individual’s ability to succeed in the community; to identify and access needed services; and to show improvement in school, work and family and integration and contributions within the community.
  • Engage in mental health interventions and manualized treatment approaches that address symptoms, behaviors, thought processes, etc., that assist an individual in eliminating barriers to seeking or maintaining education and employment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience providing individualized services to transitional age youth and young adult 15-28 with severe mental disabilities or serious emotional disturbances with diagnosis that include psychosis.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or prior experience in early childhood setting or behavior management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree, preferably in a Mental Health related field
  • Specific Therapeutic Behavior Support work history
  • Previous experience in working with children in a mental health setting
  • Previous experience in working with individuals with significant mental health issues, particularly psychosis related symptoms

Other Duties:

  • Provide ongoing assessment of needs and assistance in achieving personal independence in managing basic needs.
  • Facilitation of further development of daily living skills.
  • Coordination of the Individual Service Plan.
  • Active symptom monitoring, assistance and coordination in crisis management and stabilization.
  • Conducting activities that increase the individual’s capacity to positively impact his/her own environment.

Admissions Coordinator

JOB DUTIES

  • Screen requests for services to obtain information necessary to determine appropriateness for services as well as level of urgency.
  • Prepare necessary paperwork, including preparing intake packets.
  • Obtain initial information related to billing.
  • Collect and verify insurance benefits as appropriate/needed.
  • Perform technical and clerical activities as required.
  • As requested, assist the Clinical Director in collection and/or computation of data related to Alta Service evaluation and related activities.
  • If appointed, serve on Alta Committees/Task Forces.
  • Attend Team/Department/Alta staff meetings as requested.
  • Attend and participate in regularly scheduled and other supervision activities.
  • Maintain and file on a timely basis, accurate activity and time accounting as required by Alta’s Management Information and Electronic Record Keeping System.

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL CONDITIONS FOR EMPLOYMENT

High School Diploma.
Experience in computer software program (Windows/Windows NT).
Reliable transportation for self, as needed.
Valid Ohio Driver’s License.
Maintain insurance coverage on personal vehicle at least at State minimum
Citizen of the United States.
