Sarah E. Macovitz, MSSA, LISW
Mental Health Day Treatment Coordinator/Therapist & Peer and Respite Support Supervisor
Hello & Good Day to You,
I am happy to serve you and our community. Most people call me, Ms. Sarah because it’s just easier! I have worked as a social worker for many years in Trumbull and Mahoning Counties. I am from Youngstown and have lived here most of my life. My goal is to help you and your family through whatever it is you are going through whether it is anxiety, school challenges, trauma, depression, focusing, socialization, loss, and many more other things that challenge us. I’ll also make you laugh, be silly, and genuinely care about the state you came to me in and how to help you through the process of making life a little easier. I will do my very hardest to be inclusive and be appreciative of your unique perspective and background.
If there is one place you can find me besides helping kids and families it’s in the garden! I have been working on the Therapeutic Garden Program for over a decade now and love to have children hang out, have fun, and learn the therapeutic qualities of gardening. I have presented The Garden Therapy Curriculum and Model locally, nationally, and internationally. I have a Bachelor of Social Work from Youngstown State, Master’s from Case Western Reserve University, currently pursuing my Doctor of Social Work at Tulane University.
“Have a day you have!” Always, Ms. Sarah
